Hair Update
I know that I said that I wanted to go natural without chopping my hair but um...... I cut all of the relaxed ends off of my hair. I was so tired of trying to blend two textures. Plus my hair was starting to break off where the natural hair and the relaxed hair met. Because of all of this...I decided to cut it all off (well not all). I still have a few relaxed ends in my hair. I did the BC myself because I was self conscious to go to a barbershop or salon. I thought that they would cut off more than I wanted. Well I can finally say that I am ALL NATURAL!!!

Hair Update
This month is going to be a stressful one but I cannot give up on my transitioning hair. I am taking two SUPER hard classes this summer and I do not have a lot of time to wash/co wash my hair everyday. Styles that I have been wearing are braid-outs, curly twist-outs, and Bantu knots. these styles make my hair curly and I can wear these styles for days.
Going natural is the best thing for my hair and since I have been transitioning, my hair is healthier. I straightened my hair the other day and it has grown! Also, I have not have much breakage since the transition.

Products that I Use
I use many different products and I have LOTS of products that I want to purchase. Right now I am using the following:
- Cantu Shea Butter Leave in Conditioner
- Palmer's Coconut Oil Replinishing Hair Milk
- Jojoba Oil
- Tea Tree Oil
- Grape seed Oil
- Pantene Pro-V Relaxed and Natural Shampoo and Conditioner
These products have worked for me so far. I try to keep my hair moisturized in order to prevent breakage. I also roll my hair with sponge rollers to keep heat out of my hair. I have read other women's blogs and seen videos that say heat can mess up the curl pattern of your natural hair so I make sure to keep heat OUT of my hair.
These are all of the products I use as of now. I will update you on the products that I use as I continue on my natural hair journey.
Naturally yours,
Jasmine
Starting My Natural Journey
Today, I decided that I would start a blog to first, keep me encouraged during my natural journey and secondly, encourage others who may want to try going natural. I have seen many women wearing their natural curls and I LOVE IT!!! My sister is completely natural and I love the way her hair looks curly as well as straight. I never realized that there was so much versatility with having natural hair.
A Little About ME:
-I have not had a relaxer in 3 months (February 2010)
-I want to go natural WITHOUT the BC (big chop)
-I have shoulder length hair
Stay encouraged and keep your heads up ladies....the best is yet to come
Naturally Yours,
Jasmine
